 Israel Under Attack
Earlier this month, more than 400 rockets and mortars were fired into Israel, killing a man and critically injuring two women in an apartment building struck in Ashkelon.
A 19-year-old IDF soldier was also critically injured after being hit by shrapnel from an anti-tank missile fired at a bus.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service organisation, immediately responded to these attacks. Our medics and first responders provided lifesaving treatment to Israelis under continuous rocket fire. And our Blood Services Division delivered 120 units of blood to hospitals across Israel for ongoing treatment.
A ceasefire is in place. But given the current climate on Israel’s borders, it’s hard to know how long the peace will last. We need to be prepared if we are going to continue to save lives — and your donation ensures we have the resources to do just that.
Thank you for your ongoing generosity.  Your donation means so much.
On November 18th 2018, Magen David Adom (MDA) Australia participated in Mitzvah Day. It’s a fabulous day where the Melbourne Jewish community gathers in a range of hands on projects supporting charities and local initiatives. This year MDA organised a community blood drive at the Australia Red Cross Blood Service at the Caulfield Blood Bank. An array of people from the community came and generously donated their blood and plasma.

Thank you to all those who partake in this lifesaving initiative.
