For years, Magen David Adom has been a leader is mass-casualty response, skills honed by responding to terror attacks. But, over the last 12 years, MDA also has emerged as a world leader in EMS technology.

MDA has created systems and apps that reduce response times, provide hospitals with data to more quickly diagnose patients, and locate injured motorists even when they aren’t sure where they are.
In keeping with its commitment to bring the best technology to the fore, MDA began operating a system last week that enables sensors installed in late-model cars to instantly alert MDA when there’s an accident. The system provides the exact location of the accident, and based on the impact to the vehicle, alerts medics about the extent and nature of the passengers’ injuries.
This new system, developed jointly with the Israeli high-tech startup MDGo, shortens response times by more than five minutes. But, just as important, it enables MDA to activate the most appropriate response based on the severity of the injuries — and to save even more lives.
This is just the latest EMS technological innovation unveiled by MDA, breakthroughs developed by a dedicated team of programmers. But it’s also the result of people like you — donors who’ve supported MDA and made these developments possible.
