Dear Sangha,

Mn. Shoan will be at the Temple this week as senior staff person, and will offer the talk on Sunday. Also this week, the LGBTQ Tea Group and the Fire Lotus Knitting Group will meet on Sunday afternoon. Please see below for more information about upcoming programs.

Needles Meeting in Mid-Air: On Sunday, June 16th, the Fire Lotus Knitting Group will meet from 1-2:30pm. All are welcome: knitters and other needleworkers, women and men, beginner and experienced. Instruction will be available for beginners. Please bring whatever project you are working on.

LGBTQ Tea Group: Also on Sunday, June 16th, 1-2:30pm, the LGBTQ Tea Group will gather for a light lunch and a meeting.

Aging and Awakening to Our Life: Coming up next Saturday, June 22nd, 10am-4pm, Rev. Trudi Jinpu Hirsch-Abramson, a Zen priest and hospital chaplain, returns to the Temple to lead a full-day retreat on aging as a journey of reflection and awakening. Understanding that each day we are moving toward our death can create an urgency that we can use to fully step into our lives. This experiential workshop offers an opportunity to look at fears and old patterns, and to envision and manifest how we will journey into the latter part of life.

Can you offer a ride to the Monastery? If you need a ride or can offer a ride to Zen Mountain Monastery, see the Rideshare program on the Monastery's website. Rides to the Monastery are often requested, so if you are driving and can take a passenger, please sign up. Thank you!
