737 MAX in various states of production in Renton
Boeing to halt 737 MAX production in January
As the recertification of the 737 MAX stretches on, Boeing announced this week that it will temporarily halt production of the 737 MAX. The manufacturer gave no timeline for the stoppage, but said it is prioritizing the delivery of already-built MAX.

Spirit Aerosystems, the supplier of 737 MAX fuselages, said today that in light of Boeing’s production freeze it will also suspend production on 1 January. Spirit says its financial position will be adversely impacted as 50% of its annual revenue comes from 737 components.
