Boeing fires CEO Dennis Muilenburg
Boeing fired CEO Dennis Muilenburg on Monday, saying in a statement: ‘
The Board of Directors decided that a change in leadership was necessary to restore confidence in the Company moving forward as it works to repair relationships with regulators, customers, and all other stakeholders.’ David Calhoun, a current Boeing board member, will take over as CEO.

The removal of Muilenburg comes a week after Boeing announced it will halt production of the 737 MAX starting in January as it seeks recertification of the aircraft from regulators around the world.
