Falling air traffic in China
The new normal and for how long?
Air traffic in China continues to slow, with flights down over 80% at the country’s 25 busiest airports. This week industry group IATA warned that carriers in Asia-Pacific region could see lost revenue of nearly $30 billion.

Air Canada A319 loses a wheel
Air Canada flight 715 began its take off from New York’s La Guardia Airport with all its wheels, but lost one of its main gear wheels shortly after departure. The aircraft performed a fly past in Toronto so that the tower could confirm the wheel was missing and then made a safe landing. The wheel has not yet been recovered.

Atlas Global A330
AtlasGlobal really gone this time
Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal ceased operations and stored all their aircraft this week. The airline had previously suspended operations late last year, but their financial situation did not improve after restarting operations.

Air France A380 F-HPJB
F-HPJB’s final flight
The first Air France A380 to exit the fleet made its final flight yesterday, landing in Knock for part-out and long-term storage. Irish aviation press indicate up to 4 A380s may end their service in Knock over the coming years.
