Made in the U.S.A.
The AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF (NYSE Arca: MSOS) is the first ETF soley concentrating exclusively on the growing U.S. cannabis market. It offers investing exposure to multi-state operators and U.S. cannabis companies focused on areas such as REITs, cannabidiol (CBD), pharmaceutical and hydroponics.
Does your
cannabis ETF
have U.S.
multi-state operator exposure?
Most likely, the
answer is NO.
How is MSOS Different?
Most U.S.-domiciled cannabis ETFs only offer exposure to Canadian cannabis companies, which won't be able to capture growth from the U.S. market's expansion.
Multi-state operators – U.S. based companies directly involved in the legal production and distribution of cannabis in states where approved – are anticipated to benefit from any increase in legal cannabis users in the U.S. MSOS can have meaningful exposure to multi-state operators that other ETFs do not offer.
With that said, there are eight states poised to vote on cannabis legalization in November; the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to take up a marijuana legalization bill in September; and a major U.S. presidential candidate favors decriminalizing cannabis and possibly removing it from Schedule I status.
