ESG and Bond Investing
Brian Allen
CS McKee
Sr. Vice Pres.
Brian Allen, co-portfolio manager of MENV and HOLD ETFs, will share how CS McKee applies ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance**) investing to fixed income portfolios.
Mr. Allen will also provide updates on MENV and HOLD.
Align Your Investments with Your Values
Consider Moving to Greener Pastures
MENV seeks to outperform the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index while investing in issuers with a positive environmental, social, and governance impact.
HOLD seeks to give your cash more earning potential with a low duration fixed income investment that may help with short-term cash needs.
Responsible Investing with ESG
Aims to offer fixed income exposure with a positive ESG impact. The proprietary ESG model employs a variety of data sources, reviews multiple factors, and seeks to arrive at an unbiased ESG assessment.
Portfolio Diversification
Invests in a broad range of fixed income including investment grade corporate debt, mortgage or asset-backed, and government securities.
Low Duration
Low average duration, targeted to less than one year, may make it less sensitive to interest rate changes than other bond ETFs with higher average durations.
High Quality Liquid Portfolio
Seeks to deliver consistent risk-adjusted performance greater than the Bloomberg Barclays 1–3 Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index while maintaining investment grade credit quality and liquidity in the portfolio.

** Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. Environmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. Social criteria examine how it manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where it operates. Governance deals with a company’s leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls, and shareholder rights.

Before investing you should carefully consider the Fund’s investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses. This and other information is in the prospectus, a copy of which may be obtained by visiting the Fund’s website at Please read the prospectus carefully before you invest. Foreside Fund Services, LLC, distributor.
There is no guarantee that the Fund will achieve its investment objective. An investment in the Fund is subject to risk, including the possible loss of principal amount invested.
Diversification does not guarantee profits or protect against loss.
Fixed Income Securities Risk. The market value of fixed income investments in which the Fund may invest may change in response to interest rate changes and other factors. During periods of falling interest rates, the value of outstanding fixed income securities generally rise. Conversely, during periods of rising interest rates, the value of fixed income securities generally decline. Mortgage-Backed and Asset-Backed Securities Risk. The Fund could lose money if the issuer or guarantor of a debt instrument in which the Fund invests becomes unwilling or unable to make timely principal and/or interest payments, or to otherwise meet its obligations. The impairment of the value of collateral underlying a mortgage-backed or asset-backed security (for example, due to non-payment of loans) may result in a reduction in the value of such security. In addition, early payoffs in the loans may result in the Fund receiving less income than originally anticipated. The Fund’s ESG investment strategy limits the types and number of investment opportunities available to the Fund, which can potentially have an impact on performance compared to other funds that do not have an ESG focus.
The Fund’s ESG investment strategy may result in the Fund investing in securities or industry sectors that perform differently than the market as a whole or other funds screened for ESG standards. The companies selected for the Fund as demonstrating ESG characteristics may not be the same companies selected by other funds that use similar ESG screens. In addition, companies selected may not exhibit positive or favorable ESG characteristics.
