Aviation reporting by non-specialists can sometimes be a bit off, like when newspapers use a photo of an old livery or an image of 777 when discussing a 737. But multiple Australian outlets got the story incredibly wrong this week after a Qantas 737-800 suffered an engine failure en route from Auckland to Sydney.
The photo above shows the completely normal operation of the thrust reverser on the working engine of the aircraft as it landed in Sydney.
