Child Care Foundational Training Data
Free Child Care Foundational Training
 
The Child Care Foundational Training is funded by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). This exciting program provides accessible and affordable training and support to new child care professionals in an effort to improve the workforce shortage in child care!

Transcript Evaluation Grant Data
Foreign Transcript Evaluation 
 
Individuals who have completed education outside of the United States must submit an evaluation report for their education to be reviewed and verified. The Wisconsin Registry has received a grant to cover the cost of an evaluation report from One Earth International Credential Evaluations. Funding for this grant was provided by DCF through the PDG.

Child Care Foundational Training Data
Free Registry Membership Coupon
 
A coupon for FREE Registry membership and renewal is now available through funding provided by the Department of Children and Families through the Preschool Development Grant (PDG). 
All individuals, who are currently employed at a regulated child care program in Wisconsin AND have their current employer listed on their Registry Profile, are eligible to use the coupon. 
The coupon will be available only as funding allows.

Policy Reminders
Official Transcripts Policy
 
Official transcripts are required to verify degrees, credits, and/or CEUs. The Wisconsin Registry only accepts official transcripts from accredited colleges or universities. This requirement prevents academic fraud and maintains the integrity of the Wisconsin Registry and its members.
 
Transcripts must be sent directly to the Wisconsin Registry in an unopened, originally sealed envelope or by secure email from the institution of higher education. Please note that some institutions will not provide an electronic version of an official transcript.
 
The following documents will NOT be accepted:
  • Unofficial transcripts
  • Grade or transcript printouts from your online student portal
  • Copies of official transcripts
  • Previously opened or electronically forwarded official transcripts
Official Transcripts Policy
Purge Policy
 
When an individual has not renewed their Wisconsin Registry membership for 7 years, their physical file is purged and all information within the file is securely destroyed. Maintaining physical records for no more than 7 years is a common practice in most government agencies and financial institutions. 
 
In 2018 the Wisconsin Registry began digitizing all active member files. As individuals submit new or renewal applications their information is digitized and their educational documentation (including official transcripts) is uploaded to their Registry profile.
 
This means that any Wisconsin Registry Member who has applied for new membership or renewed an existing membership since 2018 will not be affected by the purge policy as their documents exist digitally.
 
Only users who have not had an active Wisconsin Registry membership at any time since 2018 have had their records purged.

Data Privacy
The Wisconsin Registry regularly asks users to confirm personal information such as birthdate and age to maintain accurate records. This information is sometimes gathered and compiled into data summaries to make generalized statements about the characteristics of Wisconsin's Early Childhood Care and After-School Education workforce.
 
This data informs public policy and advocacy efforts to support the workforce and never is provided in a way that makes any one user's information personally identifiable.
 
We will never call and ask you for your social security number or banking information. If you ever receive a request from someone identifying themselves as a representative of the Wisconsin Registry and they ask for that information or any information that you believe is being fraudulently requested, please disregard the request and contact the Wisconsin Registry by phone or email at 608-222-1123 or support@wiregistry.org.
