Shalom Emma

Shana Tova, a new year, another year of Magen David Adom saving lives.

Already, with a backing from Iran, the terrorist group Hezbollah has amassed a stockpile of more than 150,000 rockets and missiles, all to destroy Israel. Security experts agree, as deadly as Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel were in 2006, the next one could be infinitely worse.

Magen David Adom is preparing now, conducting mass-casualty response drills and training hundreds of additional paramedics and EMTs.

Without MDA supporters, Magen David Adom would not exist. What exactly wouldn't exist?

  • Advanced cutting-edge tools and systems used by MDA EMTs and paramedics.

  • MDA Intelligent information systems and advanced transportation vehicles.

  • Fleet of MDA medical vehicles including: Mobile Advanced Life Support Units, Advanced Life Support Ambulances, Unimog truck ambulance capable of evacuating 4 critical patients from a complex scene with difficult access, Standard Ambulances, Mobile Mass Casualty Incident Units, Command and Control Vehicles, Ambulances equipped with 4 X 4 wheel drive, All Terrain Vehicle Ambulances, Helicopters, Segways, Advanced Life Support Motorcycles and Supervisor Vehicles.

  • Command and control system in MDA's Joint National Dispatch Center.

  • MDA's groundbreaking underground bulletproof blood bank, a world-first facility equipped with the latest technology that provides the blood supply to the hospitals throughout Israel.

  • MDA's Mothers Milk Bank.

  • International humanitarian aid.

MDA Supporters make this happen.
MDA supporters WILL save lives again this year.

Thank you for your support.

CONTINUING THE COLLABORATION FOR THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL

Magen David Adom and the ICRC sign agreement for continued collaboration

Magen David Adom and the International Committee of the Red Cross signed an agreement for continued collaboration in the coming years, that will focus on improving emergency preparedness, strengthening community resilience to disasters, and the development of the next generation of humanitarian leaders.

As part of this collaboration, a project will take place in areas that are likely to be affected by a disaster, through which MDA will train local authority's teams in the assessment of humanitarian needs of the population, based on the vast experience gained on ICRC missions in disaster areas.

It was also agreed that MDA’s disaster response capabilities would continue to be bolstered, for complex incidents such as earthquakes, through joint training as well as sending MDA teams as part of ICRC deployments to disaster areas, such as was done last year in Ukraine.

As part of the building of new humanitarian leaders, a specialized body will be set that will deal with strengthening MDA humanitarian activities in Israel and as part of the Red Cross Red Crescent movement.

NO FEAR PROJECT

Magen David Adom Introduces New Safety Model for personnel in security related incidents in Collaboration with the European Union

The new "Scene Safer" model - a part of the "No Fear" project (funded by the European Comission under HORIZON 2020 framework program) - offers guidelines to increase the safety of medical personnel during deliberate attacks, enabling ambulance teams to offer crucial first aid, save lives, and safeguard their own team.

Magen David Adom Director General Eli Bin: Our collaboration with the European Union is a life-saving partnership. The European Union invests in Magen David Adom, in research and development capabilities, to develop important ideas, both for the State of Israel as well as for the European Union, as we create solutions derived from our extensive experience as Israel's national medical and rescue organization, and that provides the response to events here in the State of Israel, to any emergency situation, and especially in extreme events.

Safety remains paramount. At Magen David Adom, we prioritize the well-being of our teams and go to great lengths to ensure their safety.

The kids also made decorations for their Succah and greeting cards for their families.
