We hope you all had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving! As we head into the holiday season, we want to remind everyone to shop local this holiday season. We're so fortunate to have so many amazing businesses right here in our community—this is what truly makes Vermont unique. These business owners aren't just merchants; they're our friends and neighbors, and supporting them helps keep our local economy strong.

This month's giveaway is a $50 gift certificate to Bolton Valley Resort, so be sure to enter for your chance to win! And don't forget about our Annual Giving Tree Program—it's a wonderful way to spread joy and help those in need during the holidays.
Thank you for being part of our broadband family.

WCVT Partners with FRS to Offer College Scholarships

WCVT is proud to partner with the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) to support the 2026 College Scholarship Program—an initiative that helps rural students pursue their first year of college or vocational school.

Each year, FRS awards scholarships to exceptional rural students, empowering them to strengthen their communities through education and skill-building. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships.

To apply, students must be sponsored by an NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association member company, which includes WCVT. As your local telecommunications provider, we’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to students in our community.

We encourage all eligible students to apply for this incredible opportunity to further
their education and contribute to the growth of rural communities.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 14, 2026. For more information, eligibility guidelines and to apply online, visit www.frs.org or contact Lorraine Keener at 802-496-8379 or lkeener@corp.wcvt.com.

WCVT Employees Build Window Inserts

Earlier this month, Team WCVT spent a rewarding day volunteering with WindowDressers, a nonprofit dedicated to helping Northern New England residents reduce heating costs and fossil fuel consumption. Our crew helped assemble insulated window inserts for local Valley households, making homes warmer and more energy-efficient for the winter season.

These inserts are crafted from custom pine frames wrapped in two layers of tightly sealed, clear plastic film, functioning like interior storm windows. WindowDressers' vision is simple yet powerful: Every community should have access to affordable insulated windows. WCVT was proud to be part of this year’s Valley Community Build and contribute to such an impactful initiative.
