CommandIQ App & ProtectIQ Now Available for WCVT Fiber Customers

We're excited to share some great news for our fiber customers: two powerful new features are now available—the CommandIQ Wi-Fi app and ProtectIQ network security.

With the CommandIQ App, you can easily manage your home WiFi network, view connected devices, easily change your SSID, and set up optional parental controls—all from your smartphone. This application is available for all fiber customers that are using our Calix U4 or U6 routers/WiFi access points.

In addition, we have also rolled out ProtectIQ for all customers also using our Calix U4 or U6 gateways. This built-in network security feature works quietly in the background to scan for threats and prevent intrusions. You will be able to view alerts and customize your protection settings directly in the Command IQ App.
Both features are included with your service and are ready to use today!

Do Not Call
How to Reduce Unwanted Telemarketing Calls

Many people find that telemarketing calls provide them with valuable information about products and services. But if you would rather not receive these calls, a National Do-Not-Call Registry has been established to address consumer concerns about unwelcome telemarketing calls.

The registry applies to all telemarketers (with the exception of certain non-profit and political organizations) and covers both interstate and intrastate telemarketing calls. Commercial telemarketers are not allowed to call you if your number is listed on the registry.

You can register any of your phone numbers for free, and they will remain on the National Do-Not-Call Registry indefinitely. You may remove your name from the list at any time. The Do-Not-Call Registry will not prevent all unwanted calls.

The National Do-Not-Call Registry does not prevent calls:
  • from organizations with which you have established a business relationship;
  • for which you have given prior written consent;
  • that are not commercial or do not include unsolicited advertisements;
  • from or on behalf of tax-exempt non-profit organizations.

To register by telephone: Consumers may call 1-888-382-1222. For TTY users, call 1-866-290-4236. You must call from the phone number you wish to register.

To register by internet: Visit the National Do-Not-Call Registry website at www.donotcall.gov.

Inclusion of your telephone number on the National Do-Not-Call Registry will be effective 31 days following your registration.

HUHS Hockey Team
Employee Spotlight: Ethan Vasseur

When he’s not keeping our fleet running smoothly, WCVT’s own Ethan Vasseur volunteers as the Assistant Coach for the Harwood High School boys’ hockey team—currently holding an impressive 10-1 record.

A lifelong hockey player and Harwood alum, Ethan returned to the program as a coach during the 2022–23 season. His dedication helped lead the team to a state championship last year (pictured above), and he’s proud to support the next generation of players.

WCVT is grateful for Ethan’s commitment—both to our team and to the community.
