BREW CITY CATHOLIC SPRING UPDATES
|
|
Last week we hosted our March Brewing the Faith at Broken Bat Brewing. We had over 80 young adults in attendance, including 15 people attending Brewing the Faith for the first time. Our friend James hared his passion for swing dancing and connected it to our relationship with God. What developed at the end was a simple, impromptu lesson with music played off a phone into a microphone and 20 of you successfully (maybe attempting to) swing dancing for the first time. The energy in the room was palpable, and we had a delightfully hard time getting the bystanders and dancers to move downstairs after the upstairs room closed.
It's a week later and we're still thinking fondly of last week's Brewing the Faith. God is here, and He is moving in this city. Sometimes we encounter Him rightfully so at Mass or in the Sacraments, or sometimes we notice Him through the hilarious moment of trying to play music through a phone and into a microphone. As we continue in this Lenten journey, we pray that you will notice our loving God who is always with you.
Know of our prayers for you,
Brew City Catholic

Milwaukee means "good land." We love our city and Archdiocese because Jesus Christ first loved us. This love motivates us to serve the "good land" God has entrusted to us. Did you enjoy Brewing the Faith or Inheritance? Do you want to contribute to the young adult community or your parish in a meaningful way but don't know where to start? Our Core Team consists of a small group of young adults that are dedicated to serving the local Church through the Brew City Catholic community. By committing to a year of intentional formation and dedicated leadership, our Core Team creates a cohort like experience that gives you the hands on experience of serving the Milwaukee Young Adults. Core team applications are open through March 31. Check out our website to see the different roles for which you can apply.

We do not need to go far to be on mission; our own neighbors need to hear and see the Gospel lived in an intentional way. Because of our local commitment to the general and surrounding Milwaukee area, we desire to be a part of the ongoing and lasting renewal in the Milwaukee Community. Our missionaries serve on college campuses and in the young adult community in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee by reaching, calling, forming, and sending young adults to be close companions of Jesus Christ.

|
Brew City Catholic, the young adult ministry of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, exists for young adults to know their identity in Jesus Christ, find a home in the Catholic Church, and live a joyful life of self gift. Our mission, as a ministry of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, is to make disciples through the Sacramental life of the Church.
