Spring has arrived, and with it comes a season of growth, connection, and community. As construction season gets underway, our crews are back in the field and hard at work on several capital fiber projects, expanding our network to better serve you now and in the future. You may see our crews and contractors around town, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to expand our fiber network to more customers.

To celebrate spring, we're also excited to offer a special raffle for our fiber customers! We're giving away two $50 gift certificates to a local garden center, a perfect way to kick off planting season. For customers using one of our Calix Wi-Fi routers, this month is also a great time to take full control of your home network. By downloading the CommandIQ app, you can manage devices, set parental controls, and get the most out of your Wi-Fi, all from your Apple or Android phone.

And finally, as the days get longer, our communities are coming alive with local events. From the opening of area farmers markets to other seasonal happenings, there's no shortage of great ways to get outside and connect with neighbors. Read on for details on these stories and more, and thank you, as always, for being part of our fiber family.

Spring Fiber Update

Spring has arrived in Vermont, and fiber construction is fully underway across our service territory. This year, our technicians and construction partners will be working in Hinesburg, Huntington, North Ferrisburgh, Richmond, Starksboro, Waltham, Monkton, Bristol, and Lincoln, as well as in additional locations where final fiber placement, splicing, and network turnup are being completed.

If your location is part of our current build areas, we'll contact you to let you know fiber is coming, and we will reach out again when your address is ready to schedule installation. As construction and installations ramp up, your timely response to phone calls, door tags, or scheduling requests helps keep projects on track and brings your community closer to being connected.

Over the past year, we've converted more customers to fiber than ever before—installing more than 219 miles of new mainline fiber and 177 miles of underground fiber and service drops. While we're moving at an unprecedented pace, significant work remains. Alongside our in-house technicians, you may see trusted contractors supporting engineering, line construction, and underground service drop installation, including:

  • JSI Engineering
  • Eustis Cable Enterprises
  • Henkels and McCoy
  • JA MacDonald
  • Menard and Sons
  • Stone Underground Construction

Note: If underground work is required at your location, a contractor will contact you directly to coordinate timelines and installation details.

Thank you for your continued support as we expand our fiber optic network. We're proud to be building the future of connectivity right here in your community.
