As summer begins here in Vermont, so does construction season! You'll likely see our crews and contractors hard at work throughout our service area. We appreciate your patience and support as you travel through these work zones. Slowing down and giving our teams the space they need helps keep everyone safe as we continue expanding our fiber network to better serve all our customers and local communities.

With the busy season ahead, we also have some fun things to look forward to! Be sure to enter our raffle for a chance to win two season passes to one of our favorite events of the year, the Addison Fair & Field Days. We know it's early, but we wanted to help you get it on your summer calendar. We'll be there again this year and look forward to seeing many of you. The drawing will take place on the first day of summer!

We're also offering a couple of upcoming webinars to help you get the most out of your Wi-Fi and optimize your home network, along with helpful tips on staying cyber safe and avoiding phishing scams, all important topics for everyone. And don't miss this month's Business Spotlight featuring the Warren Store, one of our favorite local spots. Grab a sandwich, head out to the deck, sit by the brook, and take in everything Vermont has to offer this time of year.

Thanks, as always, for being a valued customer. Enjoy the start of summer!

Beware of Phishing
Don't Get Hooked by Phishing Scams

Our Technical Support team receives numerous emails daily from customers concerned about the legitimacy of emails. Phishing emails are fraudulent messages deliberately designed to appear legitimate and come from reputable businesses, making them harder to identify. It's important to remember that Waitsfield and Champlain Valley Telecom will never send emails requesting account verification or passwords. If you're ever unsure about the authenticity of an email, don't hesitate to contact us. To help you determine the legitimacy of emails, we've compiled the following helpful tips.

Remember, the safest course of action when encountering a suspected phishing email is to delete it.
