Summer Fiber Construction Update

We're making strong progress on our fiber network expansion this summer. Our crews and trusted local contractors are working throughout our service area to bring fast, reliable fiber internet to more homes and businesses. Across our service area, we're building mainline fiber, installing aerial and underground service drops, and connecting new customers every day. While projects of this size take time, each step brings us closer to delivering the benefits of fiber to more Vermonters.

To check construction progress and register your address, visit getfiber.wcvt.com. Our Fiber Build Areas map provides the latest updates on where work is underway. If your address is included in this year's construction plans, we'll reach out as crews get closer to your area. In locations where the mainline network is already complete, you may see crews pre-installing fiber drops to help speed up future customer connections.

Building a fiber network doesn't happen overnight. The process includes tree clearing, pole work, aerial and underground cable installation, splicing, equipment setup, testing, and finally connecting customers. We appreciate your patience and support as we continue building the infrastructure that will serve our communities for years to come.
