YouTube TV Raises Monthly Subscription Prices
Google's popular live TV streaming service, YouTube TV, recently announced a $10 increase to its base plan, raising the monthly price from $72.99 to $82.99. The hike, attributed to "the rising cost of content," has already taken effect for new subscribers, while most existing members will see the updated pricing on or after January 13, 2025. According to Google, YouTube TV subscribers on current trials and promotional rates "will not be affected."
When YouTube TV launched in 2017, its streaming package was priced at $35 per month. By 2019, the cost had risen to $50 and has continued to increase since then. The most recent price hike brought YouTube TV's base price to $72.99 in March 2023. With this latest adjustment, YouTube TV's pricing now closely aligns with Hulu + Live TV, which raised its rates in 2024.
