Is 2026 the year of the Humanoid?

Spirit Airlines preparing to shut down -WSJ
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Spirit Airlines is preparing to cease operations as negotiations with the US government for a $500 million rescue package falter. The airline is currently operating a normal schedule. Create an airline filter for Spirit using code “NKS” in Flightradar24.

Southwest Airlines introduces “Independence One” livery
Ahead of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Southwest Airlines has unveiled a special livery to commemorate the US’ Semiquincentennial.

Regular commercial flights between US and Venezuela restart
American Airlines relaunched the first regular commercial service between the United States and Venezuela with a flight between Miami and Caracas on 30 April. On 1 May, Venezuela’s Laser Airlines will operate to the US using a wet-leased GlobalX A320. These are the first commercial flights between the two countries since 2019.
