For once, it feels like this was a pretty slow week overall on the streaming front. "Toy Story 5" is knocking it out of the park in the theaters (can't wait to see it this weekend), and Amazon just wrapped up the first of its two Prime Day events of the year. That doesn't mean that nothing else happened, though. ClearVPN brought additional protection to Apple TV and Android TV, Paramount won EU approval for the merger, DIRECTV hit us with another price increase, and Disney just agreed to a massive $50 million payout for a class action suit filed in 2024.
